ABOUT MIKE
Michael Govaere is a mix engineer with over 15 years' experience with 100+ artists. He started playing drums in 8th grade, eventually forming a band, Every Avenue (Fearless Records) in 2003. Before the band signed to Fearless Records in 2007, Mike taught himself to record Every Avenue's demos, catching the attention of other artists. Shortly after, in 2006, Mike opened Downbeat Studio and produced, recorded, and mixed bands in Southeast Michigan when he wasn’t touring across the country and overseas. In 2009, Mike decided to part ways with Every Avenue to relocate to Chicago and re-open Downbeat Studio with his friend, James Beesley. Together, they owned and operated the studio. Downbeat stayed busy until 2016, eventually closing the space for good, as Mike took a brief career detour. Mike is thrilled to get back to doing what he loves most of all, mixing!
The Fine Print
Payment Info
All mixing and mastering work requires a 50% payment in advance. Any balance for materials will be due at the end of each session. A deposit due date will be provided when you book your session. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Paypal, Zelle, and Apple Pay accepted.
